western comics are a little false and repeative in that they often contain the above motifs.

critique:
I think the prettiness of those drawings that you were mocking brought me here... although I am certainly not someone who likes those super hero with odd skin type clothes comics. But there does seem to be something about a skillfully drawn figure that drives you to look at this picture- and those 3 frames. I love the way that you use that to draw our attention and to point out the problem within a more stylised comic form.

ah, i just noticed your name. yes, good anime/manga is good, and manga often not constrained by these things... of course... there is always going to be manga out there with similar motifs... must be something deeply psychological.

my point with this comic wasn't to bring down the art style as much as it was brought on by my guy friends being annoying, lol. i started doing the comics as fun; not wanting to make them too serious, and am honestly just a nerdy chick who bums around in sweaters and "jenova's witness" shirts, so i was telling them what i personally had against making myself as a traditional comic heroine type. :3 i agree completely with the comments in regards to there being something about a skillfully drawn figures and what not, and i'm a bit of a comic book fan myself... :3
